Brazilian data from the credit information company Boa Vista SCPC show that consumer non-compliance fell by 1.7% in the first half of 2018.
In the monthly comparison, June presented a negative variation of 4.5% compared to May. When compared to the same month from 2017, the indicator increased by 4.5%. In the last 12 months (July 2017 until June 2018), there was a reduction of 3.8% compared to the previous 12 months.
In the accumulated analysis of the semester, the North (-6.0%), the Midwest (-4.5%), the Northeast (-1.9%) and the Southeast (-1.8%) regions declined. Only the southern region registered evolution in the period (2.4%).
The entity attributes the result to the adversities that have occurred in the economy over the last few years, which have generated caution in the households, inhibiting consumption and credit taking, thus contributing to a decrease in the flow of non-compliance.
The non-compliance registration indicator is drawn from the number of new records of overdue and unpaid debts reported to Boa Vista SCPC by the creditor companies.
