Northeast Region cities attract franchises
BackThe search for cities with good economical performance has attracted franchises already consolidated in capital cities. This is the case of Morana, with almost 300 operations in Brazil, seeing potential for brand expansion in cities such as Salgueiro, in Pernambuco, and Imperatriz, in Maranhão.
The city of Salgueiro, in Pernambuco, has slightly more than 60 thousand citizens. The industry and services sector are responsible for the city’s economy, but there is also the agricultural production of items such as onions, cotton and corn. Salgueiro is part of the Region for Development of the Central Hinterland (Sertão) formed by Cedro, Verdejante, Parnamirim, Terra Nova and Serrita. In addition, it has a privileged location, with easy access to other states.
Imperatriz, in Maranhão, has around 250 thousand citizens, the second largest population in the State. Throughout the years, it has become an academic and commercial hub, serving as a warehouse for supply of cities around 400 km away.
For Bruno Jardim, from Grupo Ornatus expansion team, being present in well-developed cities out of capital cities is the natural process of big franchises. “Morana is already consolidated in the national market, and is already operating abroad. The natural path of a brand is to be also present in cities in the countryside of Brazil, which are in constant development, whether by its privileged location or by the existence of consolidated sectors moving their economy. That is the case of Salgueiro and Imperatriz”, he analyses.
In order to open a franchise of Morana, an initial investment of BRL 225 thousand is necessary. More information can be found by messaging franquia@grupoornatus.com.
