A survey by the National Confederation of Shopkeepers (CNDL) shows that 51% of Brazilian consumers have made at least one purchase through applications in recent months.
The survey showed that the products with the greatest appeal for this form of purchase were electronics and IT items (44%), private transportation (39%),clothing (36%),tickets for leisure activities (25), food by delivery (24%) and beauty products or perfumes (23%).
According to the interviewees, what most leads people to buy by the application is the ease of access. Other reasons are practicality and speed (49%), availability of best offers (37%) and ease of organization of applications (26%).
According to the CNDL president, José César da Costa, "The research data leaves no doubt about the future of e-commerce. It will increasingly be used by mobile applications, used not only to communicate during the buying process, but also to purchase products and services, search and compare prices, "
Despite the positive numbers, there are some challenges to consider. Respondents pointed out that the small screen disrupts the shopping experience (44%) and 35% do not rely on application security.
